So that was your 'liner right in front of bike inspection, hey, Jerry?  Thanks a bunch for walking all of thirty feet across the pit road to say hi to Nancy and me.

Okay, okay, you had other stuff on your mind.  And yeah, I could've walked across to look at your car, which sure seemed nice from my vantage point.  I was pretty fagged from the heat and didn't stir out of the chair any more than necessary in the afternoon - and that's why I don't have photos of Jerry's car.  Wanna help me find salvation and send some to me -- or post 'em yourself?

We're on I-74 almost to the Virginia border -- hoping to make it into West Virginia before we hole up for the night.  Still won't get home 'til Tuesday.

Thanks for the coverage Jon.  Congrats to all the record breakers and a special congrats to Andrew Nelson.  Looks like he snagged four records with his self-built Stude.  He raised his two existing records and got two more.   Wish I could have been there in person.  Maybe I'll make October. . . . Art

Opps!! Looking at the official results shows Andrew Nelson with SIX! records.

And Greg Neal with SEVEN!!

Quick correction, Paul Powell III got into the 2 club with a car Saturday. We had a quick induction ceremony (early this morning I think? Geeze it's all a blur!) as he had to get on the road so we had one car guy, Paul & one bike guy, Ali.

Great job guys!

We're working on results now! More to come!

Knecum & Deluca rocked this weekend!

Great talking to you "Charlie"! ;)

SSS, Sorry I did not get to meet you and Nancy. I guess I got caught up in getting the car checked out. Plus I was looking for a cool shade tree. Man it was hot.  I truly hope to meet you guys at the next meet.

Jerry you have any pictures of your car?  I'm sure others would like to see them too.

What a weekend.  All of the volunteers worked so hard to keep us running.  An ENORMOUS THANK YOU to each of you.  Our team struggled with the conditions, but had a great weekend in the end.  I'm still drinking water trying to rehydrate.  See you in Maine.  Hopefully just a little cooler.

I must have had 8 bottles of water and 3 Gatorade's on Saturday... I am still thirsty !!!

Both times after waiting in line to run, I was held (while fully suited up and strapped in) once for a track check after a bike lost it's chain and the other because the starting line crew thought my drivers side front tire looked low,,,
I am very glad they check us out so well, even with the extreme heat they are a great group and do a tough job... (oh by the way my tire had 34 lbs in it and all was fine)

But with all the wait time while suited up,, I sure sweat BAD,,,
Hmm, whew !! my head sock is stinky .... can I wash a nomex head sock ?  and it still  have it's fire protection properties ?

I would like to send out a special thanks to Joe Timney and Keith Turk. I finally got my newly built I/G streamliner completed enough  to take to Maxton on Saturday  to have the guys check it out. Since this is my first LS build I wanted to make sure everything was in order. Joe and Keith both took time out of their busy schedule to look the car over and give me some very valuable advice. They made me and my wife feel very welcome to be a part of the landspeed comunity. I got to meet a lot of very friendly people at the meet and hope to be running the car soon. Thanks again Joe and Keith.

I took quite a few pics of your streamliner on the trailer, do you mind if I post them?
