Bring it to Salt Talks. I can get it there and get it to the right person if you don't have a more direct contact.

I cen't remember his Forum name -- but the guy that was gathering the aluminum was Bo Burkdoll, of the well-known Burkdoll family/USFRA. One of his moments of fame was when he was driving the #31 'liner and wrecked it at about the four mile -- going pretty dagned fast, too. Too bad the car got retired after tha -- it had put some folks into the 2 Club, and had a nice paint job showing Jim Morrison on the nose.
Anyway, Bo and a buddy of his were in the scrap aluminum recovery effort -- to melt and cast Save the Salt plaques. If I were at the house computer I'd be able to dig up his email addy and give it to you. But whatever -- as Wes said, take your stuff to Salt Talks, on Sunday of SpeedWeek, and he'll see that Bo gets it. Bo usually goes to World of Speed and not necessarily Speed Week.

Does anyone know if scrap aluminium is still being collected for the "Save the Salt" plaques? I've got a couple sets of Busa cases, a swingarm and 1/2 a frame that I would bring to Speed Week.

Me 3! I have some cases with a big hole knocked in the front of them. My dad asked me right after I did that if that hole was a connecting rod inspection port?

After WF last year and holes burned in pistons Ed Stuck told me " unfortunately the aluminum gods sometimes demand a sacrifice. Note to Aluminum Gods, I gave last year!

Fred and all:
Last night I sent Bo Burkdoll a message on Facvebook - where I know he's active. He's the contact for the scrap aluminum. As of a little while ago (this afternoon) I still don't see a response. If and when -- I'll let you all know.

There is a USFRA meeting tonight. I may be there, but if not, I will have pops ask Bo what's up with the aluminum drive. I will report back tonight or in the morning
