To potential SCTA joiners, the Road Runners (One of the ORIGINAL clubs with the NEATEST logo) need more prestigeus (I.E., fast) members.

Their fastest car is usually a smallblock street roadster, a fast Camero, a 'couple fast bikes  a VERY fast (pew) diesel , a well engineered, but struggling, roadster and a neat six cyl. there's only hangers-on and dreaming wishful thinkers.
Even the hangers on/dreamers are neat guys, but they could use members to compete against the Rod riders and the sinister SDRC, particularly!

(This statement not endorsed by the road Runners or any of their relatives)

Poster NOT a member.

Thats a wonderful idea!   The Road Runners could establish minimums (like the 200 club) for membership.  If you don't have a AA/BF whatever don't bother applying.  I like it.
Get off the stove Grandad.  You're too old to be riding the range.

The Gear Grinders have several members from around the country and in Canada. At one time we had a couple of Aussies. Like SDRC, the Side Winders and Rod Riders, Road Runners we all started out in the 1930's. Hows that for longevity. A lot of clubs have come and gone, from the oldest motor sport venue there is.
  HOT RODS FOREVER :-D

I may have been the first CANADIAN ROD RIDER when I was a member in 1988.   :-D
