Robert Carp Passes
« on: May 24, 2009, 12:13:33 PM »
Robert Carp, known as "Fish" to his friends, passed away at the scene of a motorcycle accident Saturday May 23rd @ 2:30am. Robert was a very close friend of Jason McVicar, he joined Jason on many adventures from British Columbia to Bonneville. The accident happened two blocks away from Robert's home. Robert leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

Robert played a major role in the building of Jason's bikes over the years and they shared the passion and the success. He wore many hats ranging from mechanic, to truck driver to holding the umbrella at the start line, always supporting his friend.

I offer my condolences to Jason and Robert's family.

God Speed Robert!

From my email to Jason-

On a weekend that our hearts should already be burdened with the sorrow of our lost service members the news of Robert is even that much more devastating.  I share in the sorrows of many and give my best to his family.  Although my time with Robert was short, he had already made a impression in my life.  He is already missed.

Condolences to Jason and Robert's family.

It sure hurts when we lose one among us who's passion has influenced our sport.
