Ok, I am planning on a motorcoach, which is half gutted and full of tools to build the car from scratch, Two, 28' car trailers.
Whats the rules for setting up, other than hauling garbage and tarp under the car?
I don't want my first trip to Mecca to be blighted by me doing something stupid.

Are you planning to build the car at the salt. SCTA/BNI will publish the pit size's etc. on their web site. If you are a BNI member the straight away news will be mailed to you with info. You can contact the rules committee and ask. www.scta-bni.org.

this will be the first time the car will be run at speed and the fact that I am doing a fund raising campain for the Texas Childrens Hospital, I am sure the gremlins will come out, so I do not intend to be unprepared. Hence all the hardware.
I am a member of the BNI, and will be looking for the straightwaynews, is this monthly, I got the March issue, but have not seen anything else.
Thanks

It would seem to me that if you needed more than the usual trailer, car,ez up size of salt, there is always plenty of room for a larger pit area down by the Ohio State boys.

2 car trailers? are you taking 2 cars? If so you are allotted 2 pits, if not pit next to us, we are rarely there.... I suggest that you can have any size pit you want as along as you don't try to pit on the front row... we always pit on the back row, across from the track side entrance, always plenty of room there...

Seems like everyone wants the front row. Looks to me like they solved that last year by making the pits about 2 miles long.

Bruno, are you the Corvette that Greg Lucas worked on at his shop in Houston? If so, I'm assuming Greg is coming out. He pitted the Deutsch-Bonnet next to our pit spot last year. Good to be next to local friends.

yes Brad that would be me, My car and pit should be easy to spot, It will have the big red Texas Childrens Hospital Logo, and the Clay Smith Cams Mr Horsepower badges on the trailers. Black 1990 Just got the car out of paint, stance is wrong as there is no engine in it yet, and those are stock tires with moons taped on.

Hi, Bruno! Great, we'll see you out there. Is Greg coming with you? I need to call him anyway. This is our 3rd year and we'd be happy to help you any way we can. Shoot me a private email at brad@bradbarber.com and we can swap cell numbers. Small world, PR whiz Paula Murphy sent me a press release about your fund-raising last weekend. cheers. Brad
