There will be more cars than you can shoot. You should have no trouble lining up cars to shoot after arriving.

Darren, as for "rat rods" -- there's usually an informal collection of them in the evening at the parking lot of the Stateline casino/hotel, mostly during the first weekend of SpeedWeek.  There will be more and different ones than you see on the Salt per se -- although many of 'em do visit the Salt, too.

Of course there are zillions on the Salt.  Bring photography equipment for stationary as well as moving objects, and plenty of filler flash for the shots after dark at the Stateline.  If you're shooting digital -- bring LOTS of empty data cards, even if you plan to download each evening.  A:  'cause you'll likely fill up a card or three each day; B: You'll be so tired each evening that you won't have the remaining energy to do all of the downloading you need to do to empty the cards (for tomorrow's shooting) each night.

We sure look forward to having you visit the Salt.  Be sure to consider attending Salt Talks on Sunday evening.  Not that there'll be a big assemblage of rods there -- but because it's the gathering place for folks that hang out on this Forum.
