It was certainly a good thing that shut down doesn't clear the track anymore!

What makes it even weirder is that Rene' is 18 and I've known her since she was 4.  Her father and mother were present during the shoot with Don.  She wants to become a model and Don had to work very hard to get her be more poised and camera friendly.  Don did a great job and if any of you want pro picture taken, he even has some models available.  for a nominal fee, i can get you Rene' or Karen our bike models.  I have some pic's downloadable on my site in High Res for you dogs out there.

I remember 20 or so years ago at Bonneville someone brought some "models" from Wells over and shot some pictures with the race cars -- for a price.  Their mothers and fathers weren't with them, as I remember.  Some memorable shots (for their day).

Stan, are you thinking of the Mainstay Girls at the 3rd WoS?  Cold... everyone in sweatshirts, jackets or stayed in their firesuit... except the girls in bikinis... had to be careful not to get to close, you could have put an eye out

Guy,

Don't want to change the mojo of the thread, but what did the post mortem from Loring reveal? didn't see you at all after Sunday morn.

Spun all 4 rod bearings, burned up # 2 chamber, burned #2 exhaust valves, ripped up # 2 cylinder wall.  Grooved the crank on #3 & #4 rod journals.  burned up #2 and #3 Carillo Rods caps.

I have all the parts except the rods and wrist pins.
I have a new crank, block, pistons, bearings and VERY different oil.

I'll bite Guy, what oil were you using at Loring? Was that the only problem you could identify? Sucks.
