Kind of off-the subject of racing
« on: April 30, 2009, 11:29:14 PM »
Hi everyone,
I just started collecting Wendover casino chips, and wanted to ask around to see if any of you might have some old ones in a shoe box, or junk drawer, tucked away in an old coffee can or something like that? Anyone remember those older casinos? Like the A-1 Club, the Hide Away, The Gold Rush, or even Mac's Casino & Nevada Crossing Hotel? If anyone comes across some of those older casino chips, please email me and I'll be happy to make you an offer on them.
 :-D
Thanks,
Wes

Ah, John -- you got Nancy and me laughing out loud this morning.  Thanks.

Wes, what John is implying is that your subject would perhaps be better placed in the "non-LSR" section of the Forum.  Yes, you do ask of things that are related to Bonneville, but are so far from racing -- that the "non-" section is for you.  I'll leave it here for a little while -- and then, if you haven't moved it to there -- I will.

Regards,

Jon, landracing.com owner

PS  We've got a great okra-and-oatmeal gruel recipe, John.  Shall I send it?  Watch OUT!  That crazy driver almost made me lose track of what I was texting (one handed -- my other hand was busy stirring the latte).

88% of people think they are a better than average driver. Statistically speaking, that means the other 12% really, really suck to bring the average that far down.
BTW, if you don't like the way I drive...stay the heck off the sidewalk.
Will weld for beer

Okra?  Like in Okrahoma?  Probably try the Oriental Baptist Cookbook, available at Amazon.com.

Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Sorry guys.. wasn't sure where exactly I was supposed to put it.. yes John - if you would please move it to that non-racing forum.. area that would be great (wasn't sure how to do it myself).
Thanks.
