Our 34 Ford Salt racer....
« on: April 29, 2009, 02:38:53 PM »
Hi guys.

We are building a 34 Ford 3 window Coupe for Bonneville next year.  I am posting some pictures for you all to take a peek at our progress.

We have pinched the front by 6"  and also extended it 12" .  Using old school 3" drop axle in the front with some custom made trailing arms. We are just in the process of fabricating our 4 link suspension which should be completed in the next week. We have a fibreglass body for it that has been chopped to the max. The car should have approximately 1 3/4" ground clearance ( hope that works).  The power will be a 572.  The tricky thing will be making our headers....but i think we may just go with some zoomies.    I will keep posting pictures on the progress. Hope you enjoy them.

cheers

Couple questions (actually a few) . . .

What category are you building for?

Where's the extension?

Where's the pinch?

Face --

I'm not sure which pix is which -- but my concern was whether you were running Altered and had extended or pinched something aft of the cowl/firewall.

Looks like a nice build -- keep us posted with pictures.

The 1-3/4'' ground clearance ought to be just fine.

Nice looking chassis, what kind of body are you going to use? Do you have pics of it ?  What color you painting it? (satin black with red and white trim?)... Keep the pics and build info coming.

I'll bet it's a 1934 Ford 3 window coupe.
5 mph in pit area (clothed)
