Regular Vehicle Insurance
« on: April 10, 2009, 08:06:10 AM »
My Uncle is a lawyer in Washington State.  He sent us an email yesterday that I thought should be passed along.

My clients were riding on a motorcycle. They were not liable for the accident. Both are alive. Their medical bills at hospitals total in excess of $1,000,000. Doctors' bills and future hospital bills will total in excess of $100,000.

I just read on the internet that Insurance Companies project that 1 in 6 drivers will be uninsured by the end of the year.

20 years ago the statistics held that 57% of vehicle accidents were caused by uninsured drivers.

Uninsured/underinsured insurance coverage is cheap. You should buy as much such coverage as you can afford.

All insurance agents (at least in Washington State) must by law offer you such insurance BUT they do not encourage you to buy more then the minimum coverage.

Tell your agents you want more such coverage.
