Does anyone have experience with the two sizes in a land speed record context? (with a XR-750TT)?

Will anyone with experience with the two sizes have an opinion that they are willing to share here?

Hello,
   What year is your engine.
Are the intake ports oval or round.
Hopefully oval.
If so 38mm Mikuni flatslides work well.

I have a '75 that we'll use with 36's, and a '94 that we have a choice to make for.

Those carb sizes were developed on the basis of enough range to break traction whenever the rider needed it. For sustained top end you could use bigger.
