Tiger Racing sponsors Nitrous Only Classes
« on: December 07, 2004, 08:37:00 AM »
Tiger Racing  sponsors Nitrous Only Classes again for Maxton 2005.

Tiger Racing will pay $100.00 at each ECTA event to the team who comes within 5mph of the then fastest current record for Nitrous Only motorcycles.  (only the closest to the record or who goes over will win if more than 1 bike comes within 5mph)

Tiger Racing will also pay $500.00 to the holder of the fastest Nitrous Only motorcycle at the end of the season.

The current record is still 221.735mph at Maxton.

You must display a Tiger Racing sticker on both sides of your motorcycle to compete in this contest.

So get those Nitrous bikes tuned and ready and come out and try your luck breaking the Nitrous Only Land Speed Records for  Maxton ECTA.

Scott,

The purpose of my sponsorship is to bring in more racers to LSR at Maxton.

Any of the /F classes is normally Nitrous only.  Your fuel is up to you, enhanced or not.  Hell, if you go real fast, I'll have it on mine the following event.  I'm just trying to build up the racer count and help grow the sport.  I guess I'm saying that as long as it's in the rulebook and allowed for the /F classes, it's OK by me.

I have fully analyzed my motor since the Oct. event.  Not enough timing for the jetting, gear (load), fuel type and Nitrous pressure.  My head gasket held just fine.  I blew out the exhaust ports on 2&3.  1&4 spark plugs were borderline. So bring your alcohol because I smell a 230 run coming up soon.

Yeah, mostly what I've done for the sport is spend a bunch of money for a T-shirt, a green hat and a nifty certificate and if that weren't enough, come back every year to spend more and try to go faster.  This isn't a sport, it's a sickness for which there is no cure or hope of recovering from.  Forever destined to spend more money to try and go faster, never resting on the triumph of yesterday.  When will the madness end.

Joe,

Yes the Head Gasket held, but I'm still installing the new 1/2" head bolts, that will give me up to a 90lb torque on the head if I so desire.  Noonan has me doing something a little different with the pistons and the head should be repaired next week.  All is going well and she should be back on the dyno next month.  Still waiting for the new tranny and shift drum w/forks and shafts.  Mo money, Mo money, Mo money.  Oh well, the voices in my head are happy.
