Joe, there is a material they use to line the inside of over the road trailers that is like a hard plastic. It prevents polking holes in the sides from pallets etc. If there is a tractor-trailer shop in your area they should have some. Ours was a piece 18" x 24" inches over a piece of 3/4 plywood used it for 5 years until we sold the car and the new owner wanted it as well.I can't remember the name of the material. But it is tough stuff.

Up here we call it puck board and it's used to line the boards on hockey rinks. It's tough and has some flexibility. If it'll handle the abuse from hockey it'll handle anything. I think it's about 1/4" thick. I'll go out to the shop later and check for sure.

The offraod crowd uses it also for skidplates and bellypans, can be had at any plastics supply house. Is Tap Plastics nation wide?

Some research reveals that the product you are referring to is High-density polyethylene HDPE ... McMaster Carr has it ... 1/4" x 2' x 2' is about 20 bucks  ... Gentlemen, I thank you.

For those of you who have been asking about my team T Shirts....I posted the info on the LSR items for sale area.

I will always have some for sale at Maxton, but I never seem to have time to set them out, or enough help to man the table...

Hey Charles,

Great runs at Loring!  Congrats on your trip and minimal trouble car shakedown.

How long is your chute lead?

Charles, I used to sell T-shirts while drag racing and found it to be more trouble than it was worth.

GH, I agree but I have had lots of folks ask about T shirts,,, not sure if they just like the paint jobs or want to support the team.   Either way, I had extra's made to sell for those who want some.

Cosmetic repairs done to front grille, about ready to paint and touch up scallops.

Working on bent trunk hinge, then may finalize step pan design before setting appointment with Tunnel.

Sold both the big gooseneck and the v nose trailer, waiting on the new trailer to arrive, it is supposed to be here the week of September 13th.. I hope it does as that weekend before Maxton and I will need that time to finish rigging and packing the trailer.

Next trip Maxton, September 24,25,26

Charles Darlin' you were definitely missed on the salt and at Salt Talks this year....hope you can make it next year, I still want my picture taken next to your "Satin Lady" !!   :-D   Yeah, I know,  that isn't her official name, but for me and Glen (I think), she will always be the "Satin Lady"!!

Good luck with the rest of your racing season!!

Thanks Linda,

Yes I was upset I could noy get me or the car out to speed week this year.  The thrash to get the car done took a toll on me, my vacation days and my race budget. Oh well .. at least I made a good showing in Maine, went fast enough to get my "B" license and all in all the "Satin Lady" preformed great.

If all 2011 plans hold together, we "should" have a convoy from NC to Speed Week next year.
And YES, I will make sure you get you picture taken with the car (even in the drivers seat if you wish).

Now we are finalizing a few loose ends to get the car ready for Maxton in 3 weeks.

To All --  Have a safe and happy Labor Day Weekend.

Seriously, all of us "out East" should do the Convoy road trip thing for SW 2011,

Like Eric (RacerX) Said Road Trips are fun !!!

See all my ECTA friends next Friday for tech....
Still some last minute items that need my attention on the car and then have to load the trailer (I pick it up tomorrow at Noon)  I then have to install the winch plate, the winch, some Pit Pal products, design some type of cargo holder so items over the goose neck don't slide off.

Have to go to Tag office and add more weight to the tag on my Duelly so DMV don't stick it to me if I get weighed.
I think I also have to put "Private Not for Hire" on the trailer, truck or both.. I am not sure.
