Charles, I noticed that some Stude's run vents behind the rear window.  Are you planning something similar?  Nice work!!! Tony

Mag,

I have consulted a few other Stude pilots and each has different opinions on those vents.

From what I understand, they use some large  i.d. tubing and use it to vent trapped air from above the rearend housing thru the vent tubes and out the holes on the deck behind the rear window.

I am not sure yet if I am going to do this,,, I will make up my mind before we disassemble the car for chassis paint and final body paint.

Charles, If you want I can post some good shots of  those vents. I will be at the shop tomorrow and there is a car with those vents, though blocked off.  Tony

Tony,,  If you don't mind that would be great if you could post a few pics to give me a good idea of how they are made, where they take in air and where it leaves  etc...

Thanks,,

Sparky, I have not thought out, written down or practiced my "Spin Procedure"  I may consult a few experts on the topic first....

However I have thought about that pose you mentiond... Not a death grip,,, looks more like I just went into high gear and decided I needed the "shitter" after all... LOL

Thread drift be hanged, I'll jump on the "shiFter" bandwagon.  Last week we took delivery of, and next week we'll finish installion of our newest home improvement -- a heated outdoor toilet.

First of all - here's a shot of the back yard area where the device is going.  It isn't perfectly aligned but you get the basic idea -- and you can see enough snow to understand why we'd want a heated potty.  That's me in the photo, working on the chimney for the heated garage.

Okay -- a few shots of Tom delivering the device, and then preparing to use it (you can see him apparently unzipping in the last shot):

We got a metal building to better survive the weather up here.  By the way, you can see on the near end of the place -- the vent stack, or at least where it pokes through the north wall.  We're gonna relieve ourselves in style and warmth.  Everyone is welcome to come for a visit.  It will be a cathartic experience for you, I promise.

SSS,

Nice metal building. Who makes it? Great imitation of wood. I want one.

Thanks,

Tom

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

Charles

I'm guessing, looking at it ,that it would be a "2 Small"...........................all garages are

I'm not supposing I know everything but I think in Women's size it would be a "2 Big"......... ain't never seen that in men's size.
Few understand what I'm trying to do but they vastly outnumber those who understand why...................

28' deep by 32' wide.  10' wide doors -- NICE!  220V for the compressor - and also so the 6kw generator can feed 220 back into the house during power outages.  Propane for the unit heater, although the new wood boiler will heat the garage, too.  The cedar siding, soffits/fascia, even the shingles match the house -- making the package look nicer.  I only got half-way around before racing season, but I'm putting fake rock on the two courses of concrete block -- looks nicer that way.

Here are a few shots of me and the work.  To make sure I've got the mortar right I need to taste it, by the way.

PS   Dr. G, you're right.  I originally said it'd be a fine size -- because we were thinking of selling this place, and a garage would be a nice thing to have in the "package".  Then the housing market went to hell in a handbasket -- and we're here after all.  Had I planned on staying I would have had the garage be at least half again bigger.

I've got the (fake) rock - in the barn for the winter. Next year I've got only half a garage to finish.
