Charles,

Sometimes when you have to back up a bit you wind up with a much better run on the hill......... Keep the faith.

Take care and enjoy the weekend.

I took a needed day off from both my real job and the Stude build today. I Left the house around 8:15am and arrived at Maxton about 10:30am.  I was expecting it to be much hotter than it was,,, off and on cloud cover and a slight breeze kept temps around 83 degrees until about 2:30 or so..

Being a spectator was OK, I had time to drive my cart around and visit will all my LSR and LR.com friends..It was fun BUT...
I sure wish the Stude would have been done as the lines moved very fast and well organized.

I hope you all have good weather again tomorrow,,, maybe a few more records will fall in the cooler morning air.

Have Fun, Go Fast, Be Safe

Any test drive under 100mph would be a waste of time!

OBTW: Looking forward to seeing the finished car.

I agree,,,, I have access ( at times) to a 5000 foor runway,,, that gives me 1/2 run and 1/2 mile to stop,,, would think 125 mph is safe in that area,,, for a few shakedowns...

Joe,,

Thanks for the heads up... Chutes are not new to me,,, just have never used one in LSR.. last I used chutes was drag racing in the 80's and early 90's....  I am sure pulling a chute in an LSR car is alot differant.... you can bet I will practice my procedures and build up in 20 to 25 mph increments with it.

See you in 3 weeks or so..

A few more progress pictures.

Scallops taped up and ready to spray.

Finished and drying  --- I do not have a good enough eye or steady enough hand to do the white outlining of the Scallops,, a pinstripper is coming Tuesday to do that for me...

Fire Bottles

Yes, I can do detail work too !!!  LOL

Well Me and Larry are taking tomorrow off and going to the Heavy Metal Rebel and Rat Rod Show tomorrow, I was going to drive the Vicky, but with that containment seat, I can not see beside or behind me very well,,, so I am taking the 38 Dodge Old Skool Shop Truck..

Everyone have a SAFE and HAPPY 4th of July Holiday !!!

Fabulous Charles!

Never thought they would catch you working   Must have gotten some tape on the bottom of your shoes to slow you down!

Can't wait to hear  how she drives.  And then how  fast you go!
