PJ,, I would tend to agree with you,,, Yes I would love to load the Stude up tomorrow and take it to Maxton... But my stuff don't go in the trailer until it is ready and safe....

The next post will have 2 quick videos of the engine running about 3pm today.

These are from about 3pm today. I took the videos with my point and shoot Canon.. It takes great pictures but for some reason the sound is not as good as normal... I may have had it set wrong,,  Even with poor sound quality you can tell the little E motor is ready to go..

double click on the pics below and turn up your volume,,, you can also make it full screen once it starts playing..

THIS IS FIRST RUN OUTSIDE THE SHOP DOOR, Has one small water and oil leak,, Fixed that and then made the second heat cycle run before rolling her back to cool in the shop.

Second Run,,,both little leaks fixed, all the guages work well and all the vitals are spot on

Lots more to do tomorrow,,,

Charles,
Car is looking fantastic, very nice work. When you have time can you let me know how the rear window install went? I'll be spraying ours next weekend and have some concerns on fitting the trim in the rubber. Do I install the glass and rubber first than trim, or does the trim need to be in as it's all being set?
Good luck at Maxton and I'll see you at Bonneville.

Dan

Dan,  for the front windshield and the back glass,,, put the glass in the new rubber (from Studebaker parts on line in AZ)  then put the trim on and then put it on the car as a complete done unit.

On the video, I think you can see the new rubber and cleaned up original 1953 trim.

Sounds great Charles, that lil motor is beggin to run! Thanks for the heads up on the glass install, we'll see how it goes next week. Good luck tonight and Friday on the car, from the beginning your build has been thought out and top notch. Finish at a pace you feel comfortable with, you'll get there when your supposed to.

Dan

I WILL see you at Bonneville

Rob if we would have not been so far behond we would have moved the car and all the parts back to my
Air Conditioned  "Garage Ma Hall"  the heat has been so bad after about 10 hours a day in the hot shop we are drained.
Trying to get done by this afternoon to load up for Maxton,,, It is not looking good ...to many small details like bleeding brakes, bleeding the clutch, installing door hardware, aligning front end, adjusting ride height, installing front end, rechecking all frame and suspension nuts and bolts, rechecking all seat and seat belt mounting, making bottom 4 link bar retaining cable or chain, making some sort of rear end retaining cable/chain (so when we lift car it limits rear from dropping to far.

We still have a lot to do, I am typing this as a take a small break to go run to other shop to get some parts (I am glad Larry and my shops are less than 5 miles apart)

See ya

Vary cool Charles, that engine sound great.  I agree with you about not taking it to the track until you're satisfied that it's done.  This weekend, just load the Vicky for a trip to the track.
