Charles - enjoyed the visit. Sorry I slowed down production so much! If you get in a bind and need a hand, let me know.    vic

Robbie,  the push bar/chute mount is not removable. After a lot of thought, I decided that fully welded and braced to the chassis was much stronger. No reason to have it removable,, as we kept it as close to the bumper as possible, yet allowiing push truck to get to push bar wheel and no t touch chute or spoiler.

Vic,,, no problem,, I/we enjoyed your visit and the insight.

It looks like the Charlotte Spring Auto Fair and Maxton are on the same weekend in April.

If that happens some or most of my all volunteer crew will be at Auto Fair on Thur,Fri and "possible Saturday".... Thus putting me at a lose for help at the track..!!!!

I may be on the look out for some help at the track...

Peter,

Man, thanks for the heads up !!!..... Don't worry the project is not quite bankrupt now and we are not in secrecy mode... LOL   ...

My photobucket account was getting full and unorganized,, I was segmenting the pics into albums,,, since I linked the photos, when the album name changed the links changes and all the photos I posted went white...

Oh man,,,all that work is gone Huh

Wow,,, 13 days since my last post ??  Well this morning we rolled the Stude out of the shop and winched her into my trailer for the 40 mile ride down to Derek's shop so he can build the headers on the car.

We encountered an unexpected situation,,, the Stude almost did not fit in my enclosed trailer. we had to re do the tie down areas and internal wheel chocks,,, hmm,, glad we found out today,, not the day we would be loading for the track,,, Yes the Stude is longer than all my other cars,,, but with the now "fixed" chute/push bar mount,, the car barely fits in the trailer with the tool box and parts bin up front,,, Oh well now I am going to be forced to get a longer trailer,,,, man the bills keep adding up !!!!

Hope to have Headers done and car back for disassembly and paint in two weeks.

Methinks un-fixing the pushbar would be cheaper than a new trailer.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted. Oh a tape measure helps in the planing stages. I had a rear engine dragster that was longer then my garage and $10 K later and an 8 foot extension and raising a shelf the car with wing would fit. SHxt happens.

Stan, I had plans on a longer trailer,,, just not today !!!!... The Stude fits in current trailer,, after I had to modify the ramps. No room up front where tools, winch and parts go. The current trailer is not going to work for more than a short trip..... I should have a 45 Foot triple axle goose neck by April ( I hope )...

Charles,
Might consider building a wall frame over the hood area to mount cabinets or tool box storage.
