John, thanks for the link...
Hooley sent me his templates for the rear spoiler and spill plates,, so it would be a great help if I could get clear pics of the chute and all attachment points (as I am using his design on the rear spoiler / spill plates).
I am so glad he sent me the templates,,, all you guys are class acts.
Stan,, I think the tabs for a tow bar are a great idea.. I too hope to towing back from the 6 mile as well.... I think GH has them on his Stude,,, will check as he has given me so many good pics to look at.
Thanks again,
Charles

Freud, Thanks,, that is a clear pic...
It looks like Hooley uses a standard pilot style chute pack ?? ( no tube launcher)
Does anyone Know ? maybe there is a spring launch plate in the pack or maybe just the spring loaded pilot/drone chute that pulls the main chute ?
I know (or think I know) Bob Stroud built it, but he does not remeber what style by car number or color.... Joe T is going to place my order, I would just like to mount like Hooley's if I can.
Charles.

Hooley's is a spring loaded pilot chute made by Bob Stroud. John

Thanks PJ,
Gates open at Noon today, we will be there... I have no idea how fast the Vicky will go in the 1/4.. but we are just going to have some fun and hand out. I am hoping for some kinda high 10 second pass (even a 10.99) Everyone is taking bet's with my Maxton gearing I will be lucky to get a 12.00 run.. So I have a few bets out there, Kinda like the Pass Time TV show,,, I bet 10.99 and they bet 12.00 with the closeest to the actual time being the winner,, I feel I made a safe bet,,, we will see later tonight.
Talk soon,
Charles

Well, lets all play along: If your gearing is 4:11 or lower and with slicks, I say 11.78. Anything taller and it will be 12.50-13.20 Best of luck and have fun

Charles, Does the air dam go on top of (over) the bumper or below the bumper? Peter

Tsalt... I won all the bets. Even with my 3.70 gearing the lil Vicky was hauling the mail on the big end,, I was gaining 28mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4 I was not getting into high gear until the 1000 ft mark.
I made it to the top 4 and lost in a double break out in the semi final...
My best run before the semi finals was 11.36 124mph... So for the semi final round I dialed in a 11.30, I was running against an Altered who dialed a 11.63
I had to spot him off the tree, he had a .070 reaction time, I had a .074 reaction time, I caught him at the 330 ft mark and so I short shifted into 3rd to slow it up a bit, then at the 1000ft mark I still had him by 2 car lenghts but he was still charging, when I knew I had him covered, I rolled all the way out of the throttle and coasted thru the traps beating him by a full car length.
We both broke out,, I ran a 11.20 at 116mph my fastest ET, and slower MPH because I was scrubbing speed to not break out lowered my mph, but he went through at 11.60 and 111mph,,, his fastest time and fastest mph,, guess he was charging to catch me while I was slowing,,, oh well I missed the money round due to driver error,, It's hard not to cross the finish line first,,
So that 11:20 was my best time,,,If the car would hook a little better,,, I know it can do a high 10 sec pass with no changes.
Well even though I did not win, I had fun and advanced further that I thought I would after over 20 years since my last drag race.
Oh by the way Robbie Davis (stratman) brough his big 440 mopar and we ran out LSR cars side by side on out first dial in runs. We all had a blast.
Charles

Peter, the air dam in the pics above is just sitting on the floor, it goes over the bumper. We are going to use 6 Dzus fasteners to make it sturdy but easily removable. Should ride about 3" off the ground at current ride height. I have plenty of adjustability in both front and rear ride height from the current pics,, I can go up or down another 1.5 to 2.0 inches.
