If you want a rule book change use the proper forms found on the SCTA web site, write it up and submit it to them. They won't take any other type of request.

Glen, thanks for your reply...........................................
I have a thick folder of possible rule changes
that I have send in over the past 30+ years, mostly regarding sidecars...........Well, we all know how far I got with those...........................................
My post was to indicate to SSS that there certainly is a lot easier way to know which helmets are "legal" ............and make the job of the Tech. Inspector a lot easier......all that is required is a little research.
I should, however, point out that with the new M/C Chairman and committee within the SCTA/BNI.....there has been a marked improvement in communication for the "bikers".
At the present time our team has been consentrating our LSR effort at the BUB Trials.....but we are all still BNI members.

1194, they went to a standard form because requests were coming to them on anything they could write on, phone in or bring up at meetings. I was a board member for several years and the requests including verbal could be lost or third hand and hard to understand at times.

This way there is a filing system to be reviewed during the year for the next rule book. sometimes the SCTA/BNI makes changes during the year due to safety requirements. I do agree that there should be more in the rule book to clarify this issue. Hope to  see you at the lakes and salt.

Okayyyy, mailing tube got here today, with the calendar, membership card and my rulebook (yep, I got 5 of em now  :-) ).

Postage on the outside says $8.70.

Pop's still doesn't have his rulebook that's supposed to come with membership, probaly on the way somewhere. FWIW he got his tube - o - goodies in the mail before the rulebooks were out (from what I read here).
Just happy to be here. :-D

I called the SCTA office, and in some cases the rulebooks are sent separately from the tube.

good to see they are taking good care of you....
I'd be happy if I got my BNI rulebook... so I know what the final rules say and know what to do... before the pre-entry deadline...
