I know that this is a b'ville forum, but I just wanted to pass along some very sad news that I read on another forum. Funny Car crew chief John Medlen suffered a very bad heart attack last night. It is said to be major and they installed a stint last night, but he still has chest pain, so they may install another. John is currently crew cheif for John Force Racing driver Mike Neff. John lost his son Eric a couple of years ago in a testing accident, but continued to work for JFR to help design new safety features to help make funny cars and race cars in general safer. I wish John a speedy recovery.
