Mike,

I'm going to have to withdraw my previous post re: the roof spoiler. You are correct in that the rules do not allow a roof spoiler in Altered classes. The red car posted is of course a Comp Coupe and does not fall under the Altered restrictions.

You may be out of luck as far as a spoiler is concerned and begin looking for an alternative.

I was hoping mounting it to the hatch would get around the roof part.lol

A minor point and one that a racer would investigate.

Try sending a request for clarification to:

So are you telling me to station Porta-Potties at every mile marker - in case you can't make it the full length of the course?  That's what Red Bull and the other drinks do for many -- makes you wanna stop and pee.  Five cans = at least two stops, and that's gonna really slow your times down.

If you get sideways the first time you won't have to worry about a blue box at the end :-D

Man that little tomato would get over 30 MPG stock...I'd be driving it instead of cutting a complete one up.

The body was mint thats why we bought it. Unfrotunatly it spent its life under a pine tree and rotter the cowl and molded the whole interior. Also at some point thunroof was opened and never closed all the way thus rusting the floors out in the front and back.

I found that the nice thing about building a Studebaker is the floors are allready rotted out so its a easy start.
The money part starts a little later............. :-D

So,tell us more. What engine? When do you think you will run? Perhaps you could start a build diary. I know a lot of guys might not think it's the best choice of body style, but I think it's cool  to see differant stuff running fast.
