Nice looking cage.  Would you mind telling me who built and installed the cage and how to contact them?

I am in Winston Salem, NC

Thanks

I had it built by a local chassis builder - Gene Steele.  He did a really nice job on the bends and welds - especially considering he was going through Chemo at the time.  Tough old buzzard.  Phone number is 615-754-9444.  Tell him Daryl sent you.  He'll charge extra for sure!

Been a while since any updates.

We did get the car to the Top Speed Challenge last April and after the rain stopped on Sundayh we got our one run in....and popped a head gasket.  I pulled the 3800 and gave it to the junk man.

Swapped the K member to a v8 version and I have an LT1 with 'slight' modifications getting ready for this April.  Also the car is at another friend's shop having him install a Winters quick change with truck arms.  A little more than a bolt in application.  But it is going well and I should get some new pix up shortly.

Don't know if I'll get any records but my goal is to top Sonny as the fastest LTx car out there in NC.

Got the rear end all set up finally.  I couldn't be happier with the work done by Bobby Riddle at Custom Fit (615-294-5951).  We've got it jacked up pretty high in the pix - much easier to get on/off my lame trailer.
Ride height is adjustable with lowering blocks or different springs making it easy to change.  Now I gotta get to work on a fuel cell...

Eric -- welcome to the Forum, and also to Land Speed Racing.  We'd be happy to have you visit us all at Maxton this year.  The first event is 5-6 April (I think those are the dates -- it's the first weekend of the month).  Come by, wander among the racers and the vehicles and in the pits and down at the start line -- and you'll be well-hooked by the fun we have.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Kinda-sorta.  Generic 52 inch truck arms a friend picked up from some team in NC.  The rear end was from an IROC car.  Strange coilovers.  Everything else was built by Bobby.
