Laurinburg 16 in 2001
« on: January 27, 2009, 01:24:17 PM »
Having mentione on another thread about my enjoyable visits to Maxton the story of the 'steak house Rowdies' was mentioned.  It has been quite a while, so some of the recollections will be hazy.

If there is enough interest - and perhaps the key players present that night might add their thoughts - then it night be worth bringing the story to Landracing.com  Do not rush me as the story will have got better with age - just like our Keith Turk.

Ok, I cast the first vote!!! I was not an involved party to the festivities but have heard reference to the rowdies many a time. I have never really heard the whole story, I'm not sure anyone really wanted to admit to it, but I think enough time has passed and fermenting done that you should bestow upon us full disclosure of the events. I do believe the statute of limitations has expired so all parties should be safe!

My excuse is....uhhh...ummm... oh!! I know!!  It's all that snow we got yesterday and last night!!  Can't get out of the driveway, so, no sense going outside!!  Forget shovelling...I'd have a heart attack!!  If they want to walk on the sidewalk, they'd better wear snow boots and snow pants!  Besides, it'll melt (eventually).  Still think we could use some good stories to ease the burden of winter!

I'm stumped.  I'm trying to change Malcolm's spelling of "LaurinbUrg" (note it's a "u", not an "e") -- but while I can change it on any individual post, I don't know how to change all of 'em at once.  So the first one and Glen's right near the end -- those are changed.  Maocolm MIGHT be able to change it from the beginning -- I dunno.  But a long as we're having fun with the topic I thought I'd get my three cents' worth in there.

Then you ought to work on spelling Malcolm, too.
