Greetings from the VW Vortex
« on: May 18, 2004, 08:01:00 AM »
Racers,
I'm Thomas,a VW junkie doing a little research about a particular pickup racing on the flats. Apparently there is a VW pickup  running in the ranks of the Bonneville Salt Flats for some time now, and I would like to met and possible learn something about that vehicle. A few years back that driver hosted a web page about his VW, but I lost the link.

If anybody has any information or leads please chime in, for myself and the other Dubs over at www.vwvortex.com would like to praise and support this driver,KOOL?

 icandigit,
 Thomas

I've seen a rabbit p/u at WOS.  No idea who it might be, hopefully some of the folks that have been around longer can help.

At least he's on the salt with his foot on the floor, not wishing like the saltrat!

When (if?) this baby hits 88mph, you'll see some serious poo.

Mike Manghelli runs a VW pickup. Painted blue and yellow, kinda like a can of WD40. He has a record of 104 at El Mirage on deisel, ran a 116 on gas last Sunday. He also has a gasoline record at Bonneville at 126 and the desiel record at 100.
Is this the truck you are looking for?
