Autolite Lead Wedge

 Autolite Lead Wedge

 We where talking about the Blue Bird Electric streamliner today and remembered the Autolite Lead Wedge streamliner. Anyone have pictures or info on it as to its top speed I remember it filled with Battery's when was it last ran? and where is it today?

It was built by Jerry Eisert with backing from Ford.  I have pictures of it that Jerry gave me before he passed away.  If I can get my scanner to work I will post them.  His son sells pictures on Ebay.

The Autolite Lead Wedge is in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the Indy Speedway Museum, parked next to Breedlove's  Spirit of America. Also sharing the floor is the Manning , Riely, Rivera Harley-Davidson streamliner that was driven by Cal Rayborn to 265 mph in 1970.
