Last I heard, he moved to No. Cal. & was still in business.  I know someone who would know, & will see him this weekend.  If I have any more info, I will post.

That name is very familiar.  I just can't place it.  Is he about 49?

49 sounds about right.

Back in 1999, Dave Tuttle almost came out on top in SCTA points with his Kawasaki-powered lakester.

He builds a variety of race cars, including front-engine dragsters.

Dave is a great metal man, and a very nice guy with a great reputation.

Thanks guys.

I will give him a call after the holidays.

He had his bike powered lakester for sale in the late 90's but i haven't seen it since.

I'm interested  in one of his long skinny cars. :-)

Dave is probably building the very best Nostalgia Top Fuel / Jr Fuel cars today from his Redding, Ca area shop.

Yrs truly's  speaking as a former friendly competitor.

I like the looks of Dave's dragsters when compared  to the Sterling rails where the driver looks like he is sitting on the second floor!

Dave Tuttle Lakester/Streamliner
We have Dave's former LSR Record Holding Lakester/Streamliner. We hope to re-set the record 208mph, that Dave held in 1997 with this car this coming summer. The record in I/BFL is 212mph. Hope to be able to better that. We will contact Dave, if the attempt is made. Not sure how to insert a photo of the car on this website?

............. Not sure how to insert a photo of the car on this website? Ralph Thomas

I'd like to see it.  When you post go to "Additional Options" under the window where you are typing in.  Then go to the "Attach:" option and find the picture on your computer (easy way is to paste a copy on your desktop and get it from there).  It will have to be under 500 KB and only 4 per post, but you can do more than 1 post.

If you can't figure that out e-mail me ( contact10[at]purplesagetradingpost[dot]com ) and I will post it/them for you.

c ya,
