Bo, Here's the first 2 I found... If you want them in a printable size, send me you email address.  Same goes for anyone that wants a copy of one I post, send me a PM with the picture(s) you want I'll email them to you.  The second one was a record morning for your Grandpa, as I remembered he qualified the car a little over 200.  But that kid standing by the car should be able to tell you for sure.

Here is another of Marlo's hummer, all together ready to run a year later.  Different motor.... Unfortunately I don't have dates to go with these but I will guess early to mid eighties.

Interesting wheel shrouds, hey?  So - I didn't note what class this car is -- wouldn't the shrouds move it out of lakester?  And -- into what?

Ferd, one a day for the next hundred years should get us about a 1/10 of your good LSR shots.  I think I have a picture of that one skinned up a little, but I have not scanned it in yet.  I do have another family project

Stainless, I don't remember of a day at Speed Week that it snowed.

What year? Oh ya, maybe before 1963, my first year there.

Freud, AKA Dr. Wiseass, I said they were old, there must have been a little salt dust on the lens of the old Brownie when I shot some of these... yea, salt dust, that's it yea, its salt dust....  sounds better than poor scanning or storage techniques....

OK here is one of my all time favorite old style Competition Coupes

Stainless,

You have identified the 9990 as the Original Golden Rod, 376 is jack Iliff's streamliner, Vega powered, 250 MPH. That car is now Jim Knapp's Barnyard Bearcat. #1000 looks familiar, but old timers has stalled indentification.

Not many know that #216 as displayed was run by Tom Bryant and is in fact the original Pierson Bros #2 coupe. The car was restored by So Cal for Bruce Meyers and is famous worldwide.

Damn,

Looked at 1000 again and saw that it was the Bockscar streamliner. I should have known from the number.

Stainless has some history with that number.
