I don't want to go to an event where Al has to wear a name tag (maybe).

This CD showed up on the clearance rack at our local Borders bookstore.  The booklet inside gives an engine building tip with a picture, saying  "1) Loosen all head nuts or cap screws about 3/8 - inch" and "2) Start engine to loosen cylinder head."  Fine music and sophisticated technical guidance.  I could not resist.  Now it is in the collection.

This looks like a photo at Elmo.  Does anyone know who it is or any history?

Teague wore the name tag so he could get it autographed.

He could have had two if he had asked.

Taken today at the Quail Gathering.  The most impressive bike we saw today, no disrespect meant to the other awesome bikes.  It's just that this was way over-the-top!  Rollie Free's ride...

Big time collector Chip Connor recently purchased it, at a price rumored to be 7 digits.

Wobbly,,,,get ahold of The Old Crow Speed Shop (on this site) and ask Bobby or Lucky about the Ry Cooder album.  He got most of the inspiration for it from hanging around their shop.  That album is one of my "goes with me everywhere" C.D's.  The track, I, Flathead, gives me the duck warts everytime I listen to it!     Crow  LFFL

I sent these to George Roeder II and his family a few months ago.  His dad in 1965 with two bikes- one went well, one didn't.  From what I understand, the 250cc Sprint took the record, the 500cc Sportster went down on its side...

And with Alex Tremulis, no doubt explaining how to beat the wind...

Thanks for the information about the CD, Crow.  Listening to it makes me want a flathead.  The car is the SoCal streamliner, as best as I can figure.  A famous car.

Doc Freud has graciously offered the photo he posted, plus 2 more to be formatted for printing in 8x12, 8x10 and 11x14 sizes.  Sorry, we didn't do metric print sizes.

This is the Target 550 team's way of saying "thank you" to the Burkland family and team for their dedication, motivation and inspiration.

Just one caveat: these photos are for personal use; no publication, please.

We have the image files stored on the Target 550 server at:
http://www.target550.com/burkland/

I've named the files with their print sizes, so they otta be easy to identify.  You can download 'em, take the files to your local photo printer (I use Costco for things I don't print myself), put the results in a frame and hang 'em on your wall...or you can use 'em as desktop wallpaper...or whatever.  We hope you enjoy 'em.

I've attached small versions of the other 2 images.
