That's what I thought.  I've become the 43,873rd person to be tripped up by the exhaust  :-D

feel free to comment or add pictures of your own, or own up when I post a picture of your car....
If you have info about any of these I post, fill us in.  As I remember almost everyone carries a camera at the salt, and takes pictures.

Ok the first 3 are around 1979.  The car is a Fiat Abarth Zagato, another Ben Jordan car.  I have lots of pictures of this car from 1980, so they are next.

OK more of our little Abarth Zagato, these from 1980. We hauled the car in the back of the bus.  Niice little aluminum bodies sports car.  We put the motor from the OTR in it (legal in GT) and took the record from the little green AH Sprite that you see in line with us in the previous post.  (No, not the streamliner, that is Fred...)

OK, I do have a lot of pictures of this little car, and we did set a couple of records with it.  The one from 1980 was 120.872 and we gave the wheels to the guy that broke that record 10 years later because he couldn't find any the size he needed.  He put another MPH on it and it still stands I believe.

Yea the 2 kids in the 3rd picture are Johnboy and me...

And my favorite streamliner picture, with the pits in the background

Let's do a little admin work...
Anyone that wants to share any picture I post to another car board is welcome to do so.  If you want a larger version of any picture, send me a PM with your email address and what picture you want.  I'm just trying to share some of the history I've collected.  Y'all should join in.

Here is a car you will not see too often on or off the salt.  I think this is a Ferrari Daytona.  Mark, one of the kids that worked for Ben Jordan opened the dealership in Denver.  He decided to bring one of the new cars out to run it.  Don't remember how it did.

And a couple more, a ford and a Plymouth, or maybe it is a Dodge...

The blue car is a Detomaso Pantera, by the chrome bumpers its an early '70's car. Still very rare on the salt

Do you have any pictures from the 71-74 era on the salt?  I am looking for a picture of John Helash's Ford SOHC powered mustang.

Thanks for the correction, I guess I don't know who owns the Pantera, I thought it might be the Ferrari because it was so close to our little Abarth.
I don't have that era, but Johnboy might have it in Ben Jordans old Bonneville pictures or his own from 73 & 74.
Freud, did you take pictures of the Mustang?
