Cars lookin real good Mark, love to check it out sometime. (yes I'm inviting myself) Used to live in the claw, off of 424th. I'll make sure to catch up with you guys at SW this year. How many cars can you stuff in that moving trailer?
Later
Dan
Any time Dan, this weekend the car will be in Maple Valley at my brothers shop running the pipework for the intercooler. Our friends haul 2 cars in the moving trailer a mini pickup and a lakester. there are two other cars with us and everyone is looking good so we should have five cars in our camp, four from Enumclaw/Buckley and one from Silverdale.

I finally got some of my pics from speedweek transferred onto my computer , so I thought I would share. We had a great run at the record, I had a great group of people helping, I could not have had a better week! The main changes to the car from last year are a air to water intercooler ( intake temps at the four mile were around 60 degrees ) , adding almost 300lbs ( 28 gallons ice water, intercooler , tank and pump)  and a new cam and piston combo. It was just a great experience going to impound and running with the record cars in the morning. Next year I hope to have a little different outcome on a backup run! The gps said I was going 167 mph when it spun. I don't have too many changes in mind for next year , except for some inconel exhaust valves and bronze guides, we had a exhaust valve stick on my last run.

How much boost are you getting out of your blower?  You guys almost went 200 last year, did you change anything?

We saw 16 lbs at sea level not turning the blower as hard as we did last year. This year we changed cam, piston, went to a longer rod to lighten the piston, added the intercooler, changed the carb to a 850 with a better hat, and added about 300 lbs.

Abolute incredible workmanshp and expenitures in the Street Roadster classes lately, NASCAR motors , half Chevy's for 4 cyls, (by PANELLA, incidently), Arduns by former IMSA champs etc. etc.

Will George be next to put Blowfish and Speed Demon aside??

Hey Dan it was good talking to you, my crew decided because I didn't get matching shirts we should have matching haircuts. I don't know about any Hemis in Carnation but a friend in Buckley does. I hear he is building a new engine for his C/GC so he might want to sell some.

Bump for one of my new favorite cars.  I think I was the first inspector to tech it actually.  Very well built.  Glad to hear that you've been doing well with it.  Don't know how I missed you in the years following your first time out... actually I do know how I missed it 'cause I was busy as shit but I certainly hope to see it again in the future.

Thanks Nathan , thing are progressing ,getting ready for August. The engine is completely disassembled now , the new anodized pistons look like brand new not a scuff mark in them , the heads are off getting inconel exhaust valves and bronze guides along with a little o-ring and receiver grove work. The head gaskets looked a little suspect to some leaking . The title showed a month ago so with any luck I'll hit the local cruise inn before Speedweek!

As usual the thrash before Speedweek is on ! The engine is complete and will be in the car this weekend , we upgraded the exhaust valves and plan on using a bigger crank pulley. We will be on the dyno on the 30th , hopefully with good results!

Thanks, it should be a good race this year with the 511 car and the 1934 car, both very fast cars in the hunt with us!  The engine is in and should be running tomorrow.

Looks like a bit of a mess now but all were waiting on is a couple pieces from Racepak and our welder to finish the last minute addition to the fuel tank and it will run! Should be no problem having it ready for dyno results on Saturday.
