The Top 1 Oil Shootout spoiled us.

Sorry, no real time speed reports from El Mirage.

The race is broadcast on FM 88.7 but only has a range of about 2 miles so you can listen to the race in your car while you watch.

The official results usually are up by Monday night.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

I can't get that station in Payson, Utah!!  You'd think somebody would let us know something, isn't this the last meet for this year?

According to the weather station that is located at El Mirage at 11:17 AM today the wind speed was 15mph with gusts up to 20mph going to the east. Usually anything over 15mph puts the meet on hold untill the wind calms down. On the bright side, with the wind going east that is good old El Mirage horsepower since that is the direction they run.

I was going to go out there today but a fire has closed Interstate 5. Maybe someone will post some results tonight.

I heard Bob Moreland put 26+mph on the rear engine record. looks like he has the #1 plate again. Nice work Bob and crew.

The bike side is still up in the air until tommorows done.

wind came up mid day and the meet shut early.

bmr I think has the fastest time at 225.  We went about 220 and lost traction and shut down early and went through at a slow 150

Yep Bob got it

And the bike championship was either going to be the unfaired bike or the Red Sidecar..and the sidecar wins by a few points...

Bob put down 29 points on the needed speed for the Roadster....
