Help with picture download.
« on: November 01, 2008, 12:56:30 PM »
I think this may have been gone over before but... How do I insert a photo into my post?
It's about 392 kb, and I see where I have to keep them under 500 kb.... still won't go. I have followed the path to "Additional Options" and used the attach option. Any tips?

Thanks...  Smitty

I see the picture you posted just fine.........if you want to put in bigger photos you may have to host (photobucket) them some where else and provide a link.

Well... I don't know how that happened, but the photo loaded!

This is my new toy! It's a HUMVEE rollover trainer, or a Troopie Rotisserie. You load 4 soldiers and a gunner in the turret and spin them around a couple of times till they're dizzie and when they are on their top yell for them to get out... GREAT FUN!
Weighs 13,000 pounds...  and is all "Up Armored". Each door weighs 390 pounds... so if you just flop it over on it's side you have to go out the gunners hatch. So far I haven't seen anyone bench press a door. :-o
It doesn't spin very fast but it will still suck everything out of your pockets, and out of your mouth... we have people remove their dentures before loading.. Pretty funny to see wallets, cell phones, and teeth lined up against the wall!
One good thing about this contraption is that we get a good look at the floor boards when it's on it's top.... since these are made from old played out HUMVEES there are plenty of patch panels on the floors. We can see where they need more armor added.
And yes... I have ridden this thing a lot :-P I got 8 spins before I gave up, but the record is held by an 18 year old Specialist that went around 21 times before he puked.
