Never been to El Mirage

................ever see rubber on the dirt from a push truck?

The picture was June of 2007.  I thought the lake bed was similar to the oiled dirt roads I saw as a kid at that meet and there was no dust.  I thought everyone was exaggerating the dust thing and the traction on dirt until I went back in November and couldn't see 20 feet in front of the truck leaving the lake bed and the course was really loose,

It has been a while since we raced at El Mirage, but throughout the nineties when we raced consistantly I could launch very hard at the start line without loosing traction.  At Bville this year I had to ease into it and when the engine started hitting its sweet spot in the 1, and 2 I short shifted to make sure it didn't loose traction.  Not sure if the lack of water in the past years have made it more loose or not, but we will find out in Nov. weather permitting.
