SCTA site is totally quiet.  No pre entries.  No latest news.  No weather info.  NOTHING!

Advance team should be on the salt and working. All official word will be posted on the  SCTA web site if there is any changes.

Just before leaving the house I tossed a set of long underwear pants into the suitcase.  I'd already packed a few long sleeved shirts and a jacket.  Nancy's got her woolies, too.  But we're part way there -- sitting in the Detroit airport as I type.  See you on the Salt!

From about 1:30 am Saturday morning to about 3 am Saturday morning a rain cloud goes right over the salt just west of the access road, from the Salduro Dike to floating mountain... Just east of that around the wells area looks like its getting hit pretty hard with rain.

Hope we start hearing reports from the Salt starting Saturday morning....

http://www.weather.com/weather/map/interactive/USUT0270?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared

This interactive map is probably the best that I have seen, you can zoom all the way into the end of the access road, and you can see the radar, on the bottom of the picture there is a play button and you can see the forcast.
Looks like right now, rain most of the night over the salt. That is why I said I hope we start hearing live reports on Saturday morning.

Nancy and I are in SLC this morning - and going out to Wendoveer by mid -- to - late afternoon.  The radar map sure looks green to me, too.  It's raining lightly here -- will let you know what we find once we find it.

Let's all do the "rain go away!" dance, just in case.
