I just heard a report on the radio (KCBS) of a pending shortage of salt for roadway deicing this winter with prices of that grade of material being up by 3X. This portends future "raids" by mineral companies on our favorite resource. If you haven't donated to Save the Salt, now's a good time. We can't let a good year of racing dull us into taking it all for granted.
