I'll confirm the traction story.  Not from me but from a guy who interviewed Tom.  He said the timed area was REAL slippery and he had to pedal it big time to keep the wheel spin to a minimum.  The way it was explained to me was "slick from condensation."  I don't explain 'em, I just report 'em.

But 78 gallons per run?  Man!!!

I don't think the 78 gallons is correct. That's a lot of fuel even if its both ways. :?

15 gallons per run at this meet for the Burklands, described to me as 7 and 8, may be where you got that number

Wow great to hear about the new records!

Congratulations to all!
It is nice to see all the dedication by all the teams delivering new records.

Can't wait to hear all the details of the runs and the thrash to get to the runs.

Well, it was at a 6am staff meeting. And this wouldn't be the first time that I've opened my mouth and turned out to be full of......pepperoni!

If I get a chance to talk to 'em again, I sure will.

Right now we're starting to run out of time.  The Bullet is the last one trying to get a run in.  They just now (5:40 mdt) left for the mountain end.  I think this will be either the last run or the next-to-last.  If they dont get a good down run, I think they'll pack it in.  But I've only been wrong a coupla times before.  :)

I'm gettin to the point where I'd really like to get going...but I'll hang in there until we see what happens with the Bullet.

Fast Freddy Dannenfeizer was looking at our liner and asked me how big our fuel tank was. I told him 15 gallons. He said that would get him to about the 3 mile make. He said that he uses 21 Gal. for the 5 mile pass.

Stan, sorry if my English wasn't up to your standards. I'm at work and squeezing posts in while working on the Burkland story. Just wanted to pass on accurate information, figured you guys would get the gist.
