WORLD'S FASTEST. A feeling like no other. Congratulations to the whole ACK team. Sam and #7 are capable. Not since Arfons-Breedlove has such competition existed. Brave men all. Well done.

Sam Wheeler in E-Z-Hook is up next.  Course is locked down.  Wind report...mostly still occasional gusts to 2 mph

Photo of para-plane or whatever it is.

Stay tuned.

E-Z-Hook run underway.

Edit: "mechanical issue" reported.  Not clear if run will be completely aborted, started over or continued.  Waiting for info on CB.

Is it possible to get an update on the new record holders class and speed?

E-Z-Hook appears to be an abort.

Burkland just fired motors.  Their ignition and my AC inverter are playin hell with my CB reception .

Here's Charlie, the FIM official looking over the Ack's turnaround.

As soon as I get it, you'll get it.  I'm a little short-handed. When Jon and Nancy were here, she wrote down the speeds as he typed.  I don't have that assistance, nor do I have an FM handset (which Jon was supposed to give me and Mike Cook said he'd check on after Ack's run) and I'm shootin a buncha photographs.  And I'm hurrying every chance I get.

You can't give away your motto Max.. We all know Sam's motto is I know I can. Sam already proved he can...

Congrats to Ack and Rocky...How long is the run up to the timed mile these guys are taking?

Remember the max for BNI is 4 miles then the last timed area. If most of them are taking 5 or 6 a lot can go wrong in that extra mile or so especially with heat. Could be some of the problems that are creeping up......Keep going this fun even if we are not there to see it in person.........................JD

I spoke with Mike on the phone and he is happy to say the least.  Denis already called him to congratulate him.  Does not sound like the Ack Attack will run again today......unless the have to!

No official numbers for the record have been released yet.  I just checked with this very happy Mike Akatiff and that's what he told me.He also said that Wheeler's problem was with the chain and gears and wasn't repairable.  So it looks like the Ack Attack will walk away with the Fastest Bike Liner title.
