Jon -- good to see you're still alive and back on the air. We were wondering. . .
Sam is going to ride down the course to see the track where he went off course (per the FM radio rightnow). Wants to see his tire tracks.

Yes correct Hcarte, Ack Attack sheared off the main shaft on the front motor. They are putting in another motor as we speak.. They also took the rear doors off the liner,, Mike and Rocky felt this was causing the bike to handle poorly. The doors were off on the last pass for Ack, so now just dealing with front motor.
The picture of Burklands car with salt spray going by verifies the reports that when he was going by the pits at speed the streamliner was rocking back and forth and stopped very close the they dyke.

Tom Burkland reports that he "clipped" a cone about the 4 1/2 -- called the officials to make sure it was removed from the course (in case it had bounded into the way). Radio reports that it was removed and repositioned.
Could be that's what chipped the paint on the underside (in the photo above).

Missile is in position and engine is being lit.
Terry Kizer says that Sam went off course -- and they've got the same bad oil leak. No fire -- I saw the bike up close.

Lots of white smoke coming out -- watching closely.
