MAXX
The current Hot Rod shop is a 30'x40' Block and Brick Foundation with 32" above the 3500PSI Concrete Floor, Then it is a stick built frame walls with 1/2 plywood covered in a dutchlap vinyl siding. Trusses are enginered with a 7/12 pitch and have a 12x40 storage room above with external treated lumber stairs.
The new race shop will be 32'x62', with 12" brick and block foundation 7 courses, high then same style stick built walls, new shop will only have a 6/12 pitch roof with no room above. Finished ceiling height will be just over 12 foot tall( current shops ceiling is 10 inches to low to get lift to max lifting..)
Since I am in a housing development, I had to use a similar construction method (or go 100% brick veener siding (too expensive) So both shops will match each other and be side by side, the race shop will be a bit behind the current shop as to be hidden from view when looking from the rear windows of my house.
My driveway to the shop is long (my wife calls it the landing strip) when she sees the other 125 foot section I have to pour in order to get to and around the race shop she may just kill me or bannish me to the shop?? Hmm not so bad ?
