Retire!?!?!

You've got too many irons in this fire to retire - the Jimmy 6, the straight-eight Buford . . .

Gary, there's no twelve-stepping salt addiction.  I'll accept your decision, but I am saddened.

You're going to get pretty bored in a rocking chair.  Although it's not like you would ever sit in a rocking chair, much less even sit.

You're more than welcome to ride out with us any time if you miss the salt.

Gary,

Having just tallied up the build costs on my 53 Studebaker, I can assure anyone out there that the asking price for your car as a roller is A DEAL for them... No way it could be built to that level for twice that....

You and your car where one of the cars that inspired me to build mine, your retirement before I could make it to the Salt so our two cars could run together.

Enjoy your retirement, good luck on selling that salt proven Stude.

Charles,

Your chance to buy a good backup, at a steal. Don't hesitate or it will be gone.

I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

No need to buy a back up  for  "purpose built perfection"  LOL !!!
All kidding aside, GH's car is very nice and FAST, but One Stude is enough for me, the Vicky is LSR retired and will be used for Nostalgic and Vintage Drag Racing, local car shows and just plain having fun...

I have a feeling GH's fine Stude will be sold soon.

I can not disclose the source of my info, but understand it "may" happen soon.

To GH, I hope you sell the Stude as it is your wish to do so, to the perspective buyer, I know you will have a good car and have a lot of fun with it.

The turbos have been rebuilt by Limitengineering in Lake Havasu City Arizona. The car is race ready and still for sale.

Had bad luck again with the turbo, lost the left one at the 4 mile. I am retiring from land speed racing. Will sell the car as a roller for $15000 or complete for $30000. Also have -20 suit, boots, gloves and other safety items. Email garyhartracing@yahoo.com or phone 417-742-3068

Gary I don't know why that Chevy motor does't make double the power your making. How much boost you running and you do have an intercooler.
That is just way to little of a price for such a fine car, 4 link suspension all the right stuff for a 300 mph car [wish I had your front fenderwells on the 222 car] :-) and just a backup run for the two club on your 248 mph run.
Hope you reconsider and give it another try.

I've tried to step away from the salt a couple of times and just can't seem to set aside the fellowship with such a great bunch of folks, the sounds, speed, inovation and need for speed. Take a breath or two, step back and then decide. We would miss you and your Stude way to much,
Happy New Year,
Dave Haller
