Now this recent website innovation that converts curses to harmless words has brought a few laughs but as always there has been some collateral damage .....now for reasons that I won't go into here I had a part time band called ( usually expressed all as one word , without the gaps)...........Four Doors Hit Box.....it's my email address AND here's the problem.....it's also the name of one of my Photobucket alBUMs......, yesterday I was looking through our build diary "Australian Bellytank" and noticed that some of the photos were said to "have moved or are no longer available"............after trying several times to reinstate the pics I noticed that the website kept changing the name of the P'bucket site to...wait for it.....FourDoorCloacaBox...............allI could think to say was Fiat, damn ,shit, ......

ps. Jon I noticed that there are a few of the military grade ones that you've yet to cover

As for said machine -- I've only got 5 words in the list.  And I did change one of them (maybe all of 'em, I forget) the other day, and yes, rutabaga is one of the newly-added words.

You've given me an idea, though -- maybe I'll take the first names of some of the members and have the system change those.  Just think -- your signature might turn into "Dr. Pudenda" or something.

what happens though is that when I link a photo it changes the name of my photobucket album from fourdoor****box to fourdoorCLOACAbox and thus the link doesn't work..... In the interests of good taste decorum and cleanliness I'm happy to start another photobucket , but I had to laugh when I'd worked out what was going on.....

Somewhere in the back of my mind there is a little light blinking with reference to possibly a Monty Python sketch about obscene surnames.....can't ,quite ,remember it though....anyone?...it might of course be Derek and Clive.....but I think the voice I'm hearing is Cleese

OK done now.

Changing the words covers more than the words.  Also the words within the words.  Any series of the letters that make up the "tagged" words gets changed.  Even if those words are part of a polite word the letter sequence still gets changed.

All possible written "words" are sifted to find the terrible words that no one should see, hear or have to think about.  Remember George Carlin's words you could not say on TV.  The good thing is the displaced construed words are not found and changed.  Brings back a childhood memory of one of those words we elementary grade boys giggled over.  What starts with f and ends with uck?  Firetruck.

That's funny! I would guess that you could put a space on the front or end of the word and it may work to still filter the word & allow the photobucket link. We all know how to trick that thang anyway so I think the space on the front my do the trick!

nope, but if I could change my photobucket name to fourdoorcloacabox it would work ....but I'm getting into semantics now...the prob is that when I copy the link in order to insert an image the potty-mouth-checker kiboshes it , it's a real "cannot"
