I'm sure El Mirage has the same class, and the course is 1 1/3 on a dry lake bed.

I am hoping to Make Elmo and B'Ville in 2009

Not sure of the dates, it would be great if I could make one trip West and make Elmo and either SW or USFRA.. If not I will make at least one shorter Western swing and then try to make the Loring Maine  event (if possible)  it looks like it will be a cool deal too.

Right now doing some safety tweaking for Maxton to finish this year out with the Vicky and then start the build on the 53 Studebaker Champion. Going Old School with it to and will most likely run it in the same class as the Vicky  E/CGALT (at first) Have a D and C class motor on the drawing board now

The record minimum for E/CGALT at El Mirage is 190.  And times are comparable to where you've run before with no minimums required.

I am hoping to Make Elmo and B'Ville in 2009..........

I would strongly suggest joining one of the clubs so you don't have to run as a guest.  Also the only two day meets are the first (May) and the last in (Nov).  The one day meets could be a long haul for maybe only 1 run.  The two day meets would at least improve your chances for more runs.

If it was this year you could take the car to the Sept. 14th meet at El Mirage and then do World of Speed a few days later at B'ville.  Something like that might work,

Sum and list. There are not always two 2 day meets at El Mirage every year. It depends on the prior year if there are rain or wind outs the shorten the season.

Good luck Scott,

I would like to do that next year if the two dates line up that close to each other. (Elmo and WOS back to back)

Stan did you misread the records list?  It looks like the 190 min applies to the blown class.  According to the SCTA-BNI web site the E/CGALT record at El Mo is 178.906 set by Bob Jucewic last year.

The same team holds the B'ville record at 201.477

Charles -  I'll try to meet you next week at Maxton.

Charles,
Keep in mind that the later you get in the year the more likely it is to have a weather related shut down for the Bonneville meets. If I recall correctly one of the events was shut down a couple years in a row. Hopefully someone else that knows the stats can give you a better idea on how prone each meet is to a shut down/rain out. I encourage you to go but want you to be prepared that the event may not happen if the weather's not cooperative!

Hey Deb,
You never know about mother nature and her wrath. Look at El Mirage in July. Who would have thought that rain would have cancelled out this meet?
Like I said, you never know.
