Five runs and two records.
On Monday the 216.592 ran by the Team Bullett Motorcycle Streamliner, was not up to the speeds expected by rider Cliff Gullett, so he did not take the bike to impound.
On Tuesday the liner ran a 227.278, but on Wednesday the chute deployed early, and they had to use the Mile 4 average, which was 221.108 on Tuesday and 217.087 on Wednesday, to get an average of 219.097 for the record in the 500cc gas, breaking Don Vesco's 1976 record by 23.817 Miles Per Hour.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Liner went out and ran against the 50 year old record set in 1958 in the 500cc fuel class, and posted an impressive 231.760 top speed in Mile 5, and yesterday morning Team Bullett made its backup run at 228.561 for Mile 5, giving them the record at 230.161, an increase of 17.873 MPH over the old record of 212.288.
Congratulations to Team Bullett, Designer Jack Costella, Rider Cliff Gullett, and their great race crew, Troy Glen, Nick Bilton & his sister Mitch, Bill Nissen, Leann, Nicole and Casey Gullett, and the support team from K&T Performance who is assisting in the fine tuning of the 500cc engine being run.
The coordination required to achieve these records has been one of the most interesting aspects of the challenges Team Bullett has set for themselves.
Those of us who support from afar feel the same amount of pride at the achievement of the team, and we share in the anticipation and exhilaration of every run, even though we cannot be there.
On behalf of the employees of Team Bozeman Motorsports, we congratulate all who try, whether you attain your goals, and set your records, or whether you fail, and go home to  try again next year.... it has been said that the victory is in the effort, and not necessarily in the attainment. We applaud and commend your effort and wish all the success and records you work to attain.

Saturday morning in the backup run the speeds were 203.396 at the Quarter, 210.474 at Mile 3, 223.03 at Mile 4, 229.458 at Mile 5 and with an exit speed of 232.560,  for a new record speed of 229.952, breaking their own record, set Wednesday at219.097 by 7.855 MPH.
That's three records for the meet, and everyone is going home happy.
Once we get photos downloaded from video and camera's we will post them here as well as our Team Bullett website at www.teambullett.com.

We will see you all at B.U.B. in a few weeks........
