Other gas coupe class questions
« on: July 14, 2008, 10:58:23 AM »
In the current rule book for Gas Coupe, it reads that a conventional automotive radiator shall be used in the coventional location, in front of engine behind the grill.

Question: Does radiator have to be functioning meaning plumbed etc?

Also in this same class, it reads that the car has to have a starter capable of starting the engine.

I do have a starter installed and functional on my engine.

Question: My "starter" that pulls the rope, does not have the strength to pull the engine over to start it (I am running a snowmobile engine) can I push start the car using my push truck?

TIA
Clay
Those who said it could not be done, should not stand in the way of those who are already doing it!

For 2008 you can use a push truck in Gas Coupe class. There has been a change submitted that would require the street classes such as Production and Gas Coupe to use the required on-board starter to start the engine.

You may have to have an alternate plan in 2009.
