Guess we'll watch the water reports.  I rode Old Number Seven to work today and she's ready to go.  Still dirty but I heard dirty girls are faster so I'm gonna leave her like that.

John,

No, it just would mean that the thrashing would start 7 days later.

(kicks dirt) well that's a bummer.

Better to cancel than to try and force it.

He is the official notice off of the SCTA website:

07/18/08  8am:  Due to the mud and standing water on the lakebed from recent thunderstorms, the July 2008 SCTA El Mirage Time Trials have been cancelled.  There will be no Racing News published for July.

Tom G.

PS. Thanks Rick for getting the word out.
I love the USA. How much longer will we be a free nation?

This sucks.

We had a few cars we were going to get sorted before Bonneville. But then again, thats pretty much the same boat all of you were in. May was as hot as the surface of the sun, June was windy and now a rain out in July.... damn global warming  :-P

It's not G.W.  That's a big $$ grubbing hoax.  All our weather problems began when they stopped atomic testing in the atmosphere.  ;-)
