Dang -- he did all that, even the louvers, in one Sunday afternoon?  Nice job, Charles/Igor -- looks tasty as all get-out.  Thanks for putting the link to photobucket on the post, too (vs. putting the whole photo up there).

SSS,  I am learning how to use the site better and figured the link takes less room on the post than a bunch of pics...

Yeah  from start to finish it took Igor 2 hours and 15 mins to do all the work
(louvers, front of hood nose, side of hood and rear deck and my name)

I thought he did a great job for a Sunday afternoon under a shade tree.

Duane,,, I guess you can see the differance?  I was well pleased with his work,, not to much , just about right....

See you in September ? (I hope you guys are coming back then )

I will try to pit in the same location, but will not have the black car trailer,, should be in the white one.

Charles .. we wont be back to Maxton until next year ... I'll be going to Speed Week next Month ( w/o the Monte ).

Good luck to you in Sept. I'll be looking for the results as they get posted and will be following your threads to keep up with what your doing.

If you get that thing to Bonneville, I am going to guess you will need ballast on the right side
Looks good, come on out and get rusty...  8-)

Stainless,  Believe it or not the weight distrubution in race trim without me in the car is
49.8 Front/50.2 Rear and 49.9 Left/50.1 Right.

When I get in the total weight for sure goes up but it only chnages the distribution to
52% rear and 52% left.. Odd but true...

So I assume for the Salt, I would need more right front weight,,,

Is 50/50  the correct equation for front/back out there ?

Charles, warped sense of humour... it is just me... Part of my tourettes

We don't have 50/50, I am impressed you are that close on your car.    I would guess most at the salt are not there either.  I think it is important to know where you are when you start, but most cars are not balanced on the salt.  Frame torquing at speed should be considered.  My brain tells me you want side to side even when under power, that may not be easy to do by any method but trail and error.  A lot of cars have spun because  torque on the frame lifted one wheel and planted the other wheel

Be careful, walk you speeds up slowly and you should be able to figure out how to keep the rubber on the salt.  I could refer you to a couple of guys that spun their roadster every time it ran for a year or three,

Hi I'm a Melbourne Australia based car photographer. I'm going to attend Speed Week' in Aug this year.
I'm particularly interested in photographing the older style cars & Hot Rods for a photographic exhibition in Australia. Would you know of anyone that would be attending the event. If so, would you be able to put me in contact with those that are entering the event so that I could take some snaps of their car.
Regards Darren
