Sad day for the racing community. RIP Scott.

Can you imagine? It seems as if we have lost one of our kids.

The racing community has a bond that is difficult to define.

He never came to run on the salt but we still feel the tear jerking, gut wrenching loss

as if it happened to one of our own.

Impossible to describe. Face reality.

Any of us would do it and never contemplate the final result.

It just happened in spite of our best preparation.

I hate it.

My condolences......

It's a tragedy for sure. Here's some analysis of the wreck.

A real tragedy for the Kalitta family and racing in general.
It has been a hard couple of years for the family
not long ago they lost Doug Kalitta Senior (Doug's of Top Fuel fame's father) to cancer.......
I had the great pleasure of roadracing sidecars
with Doug. Senior.......................................................

RIP...Scott and Doug

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Kalitta family and friends. I also had the pleasure of racing with Doug senior, each and every one of the Kalitta's is a true champion.
