insurance
« on: April 19, 2004, 09:42:00 AM »
I just bought a cabover road tractor to tow my 40' gooseneck trailer around. My only problem is that insurance companies can't seem to figure out that this is going to be used for personal non commercial use less than 3500 miles a year. They want to have $800,000.00 to 1million dollars worth of liability, plus other freight relateed charges. I've looked into getting it changed over to a motorhome title but to many changes are needed for this year. Is anyone out there in the insurance business that can offer some advice?  Thaks, Bob

Some of the race car tow rig's I've seen are clearly marked on the cab "not for hire or reward"....Is this a stipulation needed to get away from comercial use?
