Back during the phony Jimmy Carter energy crisis race gas was hard to get. My friend had a 55 drum of Unocal 76 race gas. It sat unopened for two years and he was afraid to use it. I had a motor going on the dyno so I said " let me use it to warm up and break in this motor ". Long story short--- we ran it and then used some fresh stuff and it made the same power. Now we were only making 600 hp with 358cid so it was not a killer motor but a good one. YMMV

How old would you be now if you didn't know how old you are?
If you can't race it or take it to bed - it ain't worth having.
