SoCal: Need Safety Equipment
« on: June 12, 2008, 08:01:31 PM »
To outfit a full size Pickup truck.

#1 is the rollcage, then the fire equipment, etc.

Anyone know a good source in Southern California who does quality work and has time for a new project immediately?

Thanks in advance for recommendations.

Thanks!

MCR, Just as Glen said make Rick White your first phone call,I worked there for nolan and rick thur my high school days. Rick and his brother Donnie have turn their shop into a full service safety facility, now handling ,helmets, hans, roll bar padding, fire systems, and of course full custom cages. worth the drive I'm sure.
salt is OK, but the DIRT is where it's at!

MCR,

Ditto to what Glen and "SPDRACER" have said. I have had suspension and rollcage work done @ Autopower. Quality and leadtime were excellent, and best yet their prices are reasonable.

I'm sure there are other shops in the LA area that meet those same criteria, but I don't have any experience with them.

Good luck on your project!

Tom

Does Rick have a web site? I would support him with my product needs long distance in a second. I will never forget his dad or him and his dad running the liner. Was there when the year we lost Nolan.

In the SCTA/BNI and ECTA rule books there are a lot of suppliers to our sport. We need to use them as much as we can. There is an index in the back listing everyone that supports the LSR people. Page 187

It also helps to state what area you live in when asking for support. There is almost always someone near you that can point you to the right source.
